BOARDING CONCRETE DREAMS (abandoned)

Surfing the street,
Touch down on concrete,
These wheels are humming along,
   singing their song.

Flying so high
I'm touching the sky,
All's it takes is balls
   to rip these walls.

Just one mistake
   could mean a break,
but that's the breaks
   when you play these stakes.

When you can't drive and go surfing,
Where else can you get this feeling?

Getting higher,
Seem to have it wired,
and each time I find
   a faster line.

Feeling so free,
Bent at the knees
Grabbing that juice, getting loose-
   like a goose.

Makes my momma mad
   me doing this fad,
She thinks I'm mad,
   so does my dad.

They're afraid I'm going to break my neck,
Say I'm making them nervous wrecks.

But I don't care,
It just isn't fair,
I'm just having fun,
   under the sun.

Anyway,
I'll board every day.
No hesitation- concentration.
(the land's been raped).

It's a sin,
   I'm concreted in,
Since they've flattened
   the trees and mountains,
I'll have to board their concrete dreams.
